Project Background

Development of intelligent robot to autonomously navigate and charge electric vehicles using machine vision, LiDAR and GPS technologies while avoiding collision with obstacles in its path. Development of architecture to be flexible to readily adapt to other applications for unstructured environments.

  • Designed Main Board to Facilitate Robot’s Autonomous Navigation Using LiDAR and GPS Communication with Home Station and Vehicle and Machine Vision Capabilities
  • Designed Battery Pack Featuring Cell Stack, Charge Controller and DC to DC Convertor
  • Designed Home Station Featuring All Communication Protocols
What we did

We thoroughly understood our customer’s mandate and assembled a a highly talented multidisciplinary team with expertise in product design, embedded systems, robotics, autonomous navigation and machine vision. We synthesized very innovative concepts and undertook detailed design for this very complex project. We tapped into our deep pool of experienced engineers during peak loads to complete this project in 50% of the time. Project Background

The objective of our long-term partnership was to develop innovative consumer healthcare devices for a select portion of their product portfolio and also maintain their legacy products. This would free enough bandwidth and enable our customer to better focus on their hospital equipment business. What we did

We created an offshore development center for our customer with specific focus on two broad areas: new product development and legacy product support. Our technical teams were dedicated to our product portfolio which included product design, embedded systems, VA/VE, global sourcing, data analytics, cloud enablement and application software. We developed a dedicated knowledge management system for our product portfolio and this was populated with the knowhow transitioned from the customer to our ODC team. As our center matured we archived our new findings and lessons learned in our knowledge vault which became a reservoir for existing engineers and a training ground for new engineers as the center expanded. We have an extremely satisfied customer and partner since we have been able to exceed all their expectations on business and technical metrics.

We conducted several workshops with our customer’s technical and management teams to share our understanding of the state-of-the-art in NextGen technologies across industries. We collaborated on synthesizing a variety of concepts for autonomous AGVs for data centers. Once our customer gave the green light, we assembled a diverse team with talent in product design, embedded systems, robotics, autonomous navigation and machine vision. Upon the completion of this very innovative cutting-edge technology project our customer was able to win very sizeable business and appreciated the creativity and real-life expertise we were able to bring to this project.
